Privacy Policy

This describes what PlantLens, operated by Slath LLC, collects and why. It is written to match what the software actually does.
What we collect
You give us
- Photographs you take or choose, so they can be identified and shown back to you in your garden.
- Location, only if you allow it, to improve identification accuracy for the region you are in.
Created for you
- A device identifier generated on your device. It is random and specific to this app — not your advertising ID, and not shared with other apps. It is the only thing your account is keyed on.
Collected automatically
- IP address, recorded at signup and on later sign-ins, for security, fraud prevention and coarse regional analytics.
- Device model, OS version, app version, language and time zone, to diagnose faults and understand which devices to support.
- Product usage — identifications made, paywalls seen, time spent on the introduction screens — to understand how the app is used.
We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, or advertising identifier, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Photographs and identifications — on a free account, deleted 3 days after they are created. A subscription removes that deadline and they are kept until you delete them or close the account.
- Usage events — 90 days.
- Account records — kept while the account exists.
The 3-day deletion is enforced by the server in two independent layers, so a record cannot outlive it because a worker failed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to some processing.
You can delete any saved plant in the app at any time. For anything broader — a copy of your data, or deletion of the whole account — email support@slath.app with the User ID shown in the app under Settings, and we will action it within 30 days. That request is handled manually today.
Children
PlantLens is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our servers and processors may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards.
Changes
We will post updates here and change the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
